Your local medical service

Please book in advance if you need a regular appointment. Your medical records are available to all doctors working at the practice. This ensures you will have the best opportunity to secure an appointment at a time that suits you, even if you regular doctor is unavailable. Long consultations and Home Visits are available on request. Call (03) 5751 9900 to make your appointment.

Patients who hold a valid Medicare Card will be Bulk Billed, however a fee will still apply in some circumstances – for minor procedures like skin surgery, infusions, and some complex dressings.

After-Hours Care

Standish Street Surgery provides an after-hours medical service. Patients requiring urgent after-hours care should contact Alpine Health (Myrtleford Hospital) on (03) 5751 9300 and ask for the Doctor on Call.

Our doctors participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster with other local practices each evening. On weekends, this roster covers the Bright and Myrtleford areas from 6:00pm Friday through to 9:00am Monday.

When attending after-hours care, Standish Street Surgery doctors provide treatment at Alpine Health Myrtleford Hospital as private practitioners. This is a fee-paying service, and bulk billing is not available.

An account will be issued following your visit. Payment can be made over the phone. Through our direct connection with Medicare Easyclaim, your Medicare claim can be processed immediately, with any applicable rebate deposited into your nominated bank account on the same day.

Trading Terms

If an overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or legal representative, all associated recovery costs may be passed on to the account holder, including legal and collection fees.
